Common name: Giant Malaysian leaf insect
Origin: Malaysia and surrounding territories
Adult size: 10cm+ in females, ~5cm in males
Temperature & humidity requirements: 24-28ºC, 80-90% humidity
Feeding source: Bramble, Rose, Oak, Raspberry (everything always pesticide-free!)
Housing requirements: This species should be kept in net cages or very well-ventilated enclosures. They require high humidity as well as high ventilation, making it a somewhat challenging species to keep. A top source of led light (no heat!) is recommended, especially for nymphs, since their instinct is to travel upwards toward light which is where the young leaves are located in their food plant.
